{Elementary} February: Kindness

Hi Elementary School Parents,

We are approaching February, a new month, and that means a... NEW VIRTUE!  Here's a sneak peak of what kids will be seeing this coming Sunday.

A Virtue is something God does in us, to change the world around us!

Now doesn't that look like fun! ;) We will be talking about Kindness for the entire month of February.

Kindness is showing others they are valuable by how you treat them.

Our Memory Verse for the month is found in the book of Luke:

"Do to others as you want them to do to you."

                                             Luke 6:31 NIrV

Here's a quick outline of what we will be teaching this month:

Week 1

Bottom Line- Do to others what you want them to do to you.

Bible Story- Luke 6:17-20, 27-36 (the principle of the Golden Rule)

Week 2

Bottom Line- Treat others the way Jesus would treat them.

Bible Story- Mark 10:13-16 (Jesus and the children)

Week 3

Bottom Line- Treat others as if they belong to God.

Bible Story- Matthew 25:35-40 (the least of these)

Week 4

Bottom Line- Do for your enemies what they wouldn't do for you.

Bible Story- Acts 9:26-30 (Barnabas and Saul)
