We're Moving UP!

Dear Parents,

I pray that all is well with you and your families after our encounter with Tropical Storm Irene. We are thanking God that the storm wasn't as bad as we had anticipated it would be.

School will be starting for New York City school kids in about 1 week, which means you are probably in "Back to School" mode getting the kids ready to head back.  Well the same is true for

New Life Kids. Except we are kicking off our "New Year" this Sunday, September 4th 2011. This means that children who are entering Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th Grade, 6th Grade and 7th grade will be Moving Up to a new environment in New Life Kids! Yay!

Here's what to expect this Sunday, September 4th, 2011:

Kindergarten
Kindergarteners used to meet in the little room next to the ladies room on the second floor. This is no longer the case moving forward. Kids entering Kindergarten in September will now join their fellow elementary school kids in the Upper Stage Room! As you face the stage in the auditorium there is a door to the far left of the stage. The Upper Stage room is through those doors and up the stairs.  We request that you pick up your child after service.  No person under the age of 18 will be allowed to pick up minors in your stead.  This is for the safety of the children in our programs. Plus, this is the time where we usually meet and greet parents and give out announcements pertaining to what we are doing with your kids on Sundays. Stay tuned because we have some awesome family giving opportunities coming up in Oct/Nov. :)

IMPORTANT: Your child will be assigned to a small group that will meet every Sunday. So that your child can begin to develop a relationship with a consistent leader and group of friends we ask that you bring your child to the same service time weekly. Either the 9:15am or the 11:15am service.

1st Graders

4th Graders
Kids entering 4th Grade in September will no longer be in the Upper Stage room they will now be meeting with a small group leader in the Lower Stage Room (aka. Studio 45)! As you face the stage in the auditorium there is a door to the far left of the stage. The Lower Stage (Studio 45) room is through that door and down the stairs. Walk down the hallway until you can't walk any more an the door will be on the left.  We request that you pick up your child after service.  No person under the age of 18 will be allowed to pick up minors in your stead.  This is for the safety of the children in our programs. Plus, this is the time where we usually meet and greet parents and give out announcements pertaining to what we are doing with your kids on Sundays. Stay tuned because we have some awesome family giving opportunities coming up in Oct/Nov. :)

6th Graders
Kids entering 6th Grade in September will no longer be meeting with kids in our Elementary program. They will meet on Sundays at 11:15am with the Jr. High (Middle School) Program, under the direction of Pastor James Puleo. Please note: The Jr. High (Middle school) kids will meet on Sunday at the 11:15am service only in the basement (Youth Room).

To better serve 6th graders and where they are at in life we have decided to move all 6th graders over to the Middle school program.  This is to better meet their spiritual, and maturity level needs. To get on the mailing list for Parents of 6th Graders please email Pastor James at jpuleo@newlifefellowship.org.  Be sure to leave your name, your child(s) name, phone # as well as email address you check most.

7th Graders
Kids entering 6th Grade in September will no longer be meeting with kids in our Elementary program.
