Dear Parents,
This month your children are learning about faith—trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see. They’ll be learning about several “heroes of the faith,” who trusted God and experienced amazing things as a result.
We know that God still does amazing things, and we can imagine that someone in your family or circle of friends has experienced an incredible event in which he or she stepped out of the box on faith and/or God showed up in a big way—a way that was different and bigger than what anyone imagined. We call these events faith stories.
Next week your child will be bringing home a Faith Story Questionnaire. His or her task will be to interview the person with the faith story and either write and/or draw about it on the questionnaire page, create a photomontage or scrapbook page about it, or video it. Then they’ll bring those stories back to church to share with others.
So for now, be thinking about which person your child could interview and brainstorm some ideas about how he or she will present the person’s faith story to friends and leaders at church.
We need the faith stories by the end of the month.
Thank you for your help and support!
Blessings,
